Kate received her Masters of Science in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Vermont. Before training to be a mental health therapist, she worked as an educator in public elementary and high schools, as well as in a university setting.

As a narrative therapist, Kate believes that every individual has unique stories and experiences that shape their identity, and she strives to help my clients understand and appreciate their own stories. She works to create a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, and learn to view your challenges in a new light. She also believe that humor can be a powerful tool in therapy and can help us see things from a new perspective! When used appropriately, humor can create an environment of curiosity and playfulness on your healing journey.

Kate works with teens 13 and older, as well as young adults, who are navigating life transitions, traumatic events, depression and anxiety, or just the path of getting older and developing a sense of self. She has additional experience working with anxiety, depression, gender and sexuality exploration, suicidal ideation and obsessive compulsive disorder, as well as training in providing trauma-informed care and in multicultural considerations for counseling.
