Adriana is a bilingual and bi-cultural, clinically licensed social worker with 8 years experience in the field trained in evidenced based mental health interventions including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She possesses 15 years of work in the arts and wellness community and is committed to providing compassionate, and solution-oriented mental health treatment for children, adolescents, adults and families.

Social justice is a fundamental theme in Adriana’s work and she believes that exploring and discussing it is vital in the path toward healing, self-care, self-love and creating a kinder, accountable and more just society. Adriana is committed to creating more self-awareness of how systems of oppression and unconscious bias impact her clinical interventions and approaches and hopes to support clients and supervisees in this challenge.

Adriana’s clinical and supervisory approach includes mindful movement and embodiment practices as a means to addressing the ways in which trauma negatively impacts humans in conscious and unconscious ways. Adriana is greatly influenced by the work of: Resmaa Menakem, Adrienne Maree Brown, Marsha Linehan, Hala Khouri, Sonya Renee Taylor, Bessel van der Kolk, Rosangela Silvestri, Vera Passos, Sarah Anne Bell and Michelle Cassandra Johnson. In her movement and philosophical studies, Adriana has cultivated a deep dedication to practicing and sharing embodiment and mindful movement practices (individually AND in community), that include traditions from Yoga and African Brazilian dance. Adriana continues to apply these studies to her own life and has found meaning in sharing her learnings with others. She is humbled how the teachings that were so generously shared with her can be applied to her clinical interventions with such sustainable and palpable results.
