Alicia (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in North Carolina. She received a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from a nationally accredited graduate program at Appalachian State University. She has extensive training on the different dimensions of diversity and issues associated with race, sexuality, gender, socioeconomic status, and religion. Alicia takes a relational/systemic approach when supporting clients in therapy and believes our relationships impact us and our mental health.
Alicia has been working in the mental health field for five years with diverse clients in a wide range of settings. She has experience working with depression, anxiety, trauma, life stressors, relationship conflict, eating disorders, and more. She especially enjoys working with couples and individuals. She is passionate about utilizing evidence-based practices to support couples in decreasing conflict and increasing intimacy and connection. For individual therapy Alicia understands that every person’s experience is unique and therefore integrates several therapeutic models and interventions to uniquely support that client.
In her free time Alicia enjoys exploring Asheville, hiking, and spending time with family.
