Doug Morgan, MSW, LCSWA, LCAS
Doug Morgan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist. He has worked with families, young adults, adolescents, and the LGBTQIA+ community in residential treatment settings since 2016. Originally from Atlanta, Doug moved to Asheville in 2010 and holds a Masters in Social Work from Western Carolina University. He specializes in complex trauma, personality disorders, substance use, anxiety, depression, and coping with acute stress from difficult life events.
Doug’s approach affirms the therapeutic process as a journey of self-exploration. He understands that mental health experiences and substance use can change one’s relationship with themselves. With a focus on the human right to dignity, value, and safety, Doug strives to help his clients recognize their strength and resilience, and acknowledges that behavior is an adaptation to environments and experience.
Doug offers therapy to individuals, families, and couples, utilizing a client-led and professionally guided process. He provides direct, insightful, and thorough work to help clients achieve their goals.
