Josefine Eriksson is a Licensed Psychologist, Nationally Certified School Psychologist and the Director of Psychological Services at Matone Counseling Charlotte. She earned her doctorate in school psychology from William James College (previously Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology). Prior to that she obtained her master’s degree from Northeastern University and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut. Josefine has a background in applied behavior analysis and previously held a license as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

Josefine has experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults in outpatient clinics, neuropsychological assessment centers, and schools. She works with clients to gain a better understanding of themselves and work through their challenges or anxieties. She often provides support to families to help them better understand and connect with their children, as well as navigate the complexities of the school system. Josefine is passionate about supporting individuals through the intricacies of young adulthood and the anxiety and transitions that may come throughout one’s twenties.

Josefine provides both psychological assessment and therapy. She emphasizes a collaborative and flexible approach that is unique to each person’s needs. Her hope is to always work together towards goals and in therapy this may include a variety of approaches to address anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, ADHD, autism, executive functioning deficits, interpersonal skills, adjustment difficulties, learning differences, and more. Josefine believes that there is always a way to find increased enjoyment in life and learning.
