Dr. Kimberly Glover is a licensed clinical psychologist at Matone Counseling and Testing – Cotswold. She earned a bachelor’s from Hampton University, a master’s in clinical psychology from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, and a doctorate in clinical psychology from the Florida School of Professional Psychology at National Louis University. She completed both a predoctoral internship and a postdoctoral fellowship at Hamm Clinic located in St. Paul, MN.

Kim finds it natural to practice from a Psychodynamic and Interpersonal approach; She aims to support adults in exploring and discovering patterns in their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors to gain insight into self and other relationships. She believes understanding our early interpersonal experiences can help us to make sense of current experiences and work towards symptomatic recovery. Her approach is similar to that of a “velvet hammer,” gentle and empathetic, while still addressing issues directly to make a significant impact and facilitate positive change. Kim sees the therapeutic relationship as a catalyst for change and hopes to provide a space where you can safely expand your beliefs about yourself and gain insights into your current reality.

Kim also conducts psychological testing and evaluations for adults and has training and interests in cultural identity and self-concept issues, trauma, mood disorders, personality disorders, group psychotherapy, and the use of interventions from other therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

In her downtime, Kim enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exploring the arts of Charlotte, and enjoying new restaurants.
