Liza is a devoted and empathetic therapist dedicated to aiding individuals facing mental health challenges on their path to recovery. With a breadth of experience, she offers therapy to children, adolescents, and adults, specializing in mood disorders, anxiety, chronic illness, disordered eating, autism spectrum disorder in children, performance concerns among adolescent/young adult athletes, and college students. While she draws from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Liza recognizes the importance of tailoring therapy to each individual’s needs. She fosters collaboration with her clients to identify the most suitable strategies, prioritizing the establishment of positive relationships and the creation of a trusting and supportive therapeutic environment.
With extensive experience, Liza adeptly conducts a wide range of psychological assessments, encompassing intellectual, neuropsychological, personality, and psychopathological measures across diverse age groups—children, adolescents, and adults alike. Employing a strength-based methodology, she uses the findings to deepen her understanding of her clients’ psychological well-being, thereby informing diagnoses and tailoring treatment approaches to their unique needs.
When she’s not in the office, Liza finds joy in the company of her family and 2 dogs. She loves to bake, lose herself in a good book, and explore the outdoors.
