Abigail (she/her) received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte and completed her Master’s degree in Social Work from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) and therapist at Matone Counseling and Testing.
Abigail ensures a safe place virtually and in person for all of her clients. She has experience working with kids, preteens, teenagers, young adults, and adults who are experiencing feelings and emotions they are not sure how to navigate. She specializes in anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, anger management, self-esteem, relationship issues, trauma, PTSD, and many more. Abigail is passionate about helping each of her clients see their strengths and to help them achieve the goals they may have for their life. She hopes to guide her clients in the journey of finding healing and growth.
Abigail will approach each client using several different techniques depending on the individual’s needs. The techniques may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Strength-Based Therapy (SBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). Her goal for each client is to help them feel seen and heard despite what they may be facing in their life.
During her free time Abigail loves spending time with her dog and going on walks around the park.
