Sherry Holder is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been providing therapy since 2021. Sherry graduated with a Master’s in Social Work from East Tennessee State University in May 2021. Her Bachelor’s in Social Work comes from Mars Hill College (now Mars Hill University) in 1998. Sherry is licensed in North Carolina only. 

Sherry has been a practicing clinician for the last four years, working in local community mental health, where she has worked with many different concerns. Sherry continues to enjoy working with a variety of people with varying differences. Some issues she works with are depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, relationship struggles, intimate partner violence, parenting, borderline personality disorder and grief. Sherry has taught parenting classes and worked with parents using a variety of curriculums over the years and specializes in parenting support. She is certified to provide Circle of Security parenting groups. Sherry’s passion is improving the experiences of parents and children. Sherry uses a variety of therapy modalities including CBT, DBT, ACT, Brief Solutions Focused Therapy, Expressive Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic and Somatic Experiencing. 

Sherry has lived in WNC since early childhood and has a strong connection to the area. She enjoys being outside and exploring nature. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and especially her grandchildren. In her spare time, she reads, listens to podcasts, watches movies,,tells stories, takes road.
