Betsy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She graduated from the University of North Carolina Charlotte in 2019 with a master’s degree in social work and from Goshen College (IN) in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts. She has experience providing individual and group support to children, adolescents, and adults.

Betsy uses a combined and individualized approach to working with clients, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Her experience with adults, children, and adolescents in various therapeutic settings has confirmed the importance of a relationship-focused clinical approach.  This has been heavily informed by her years providing supportive services to diverse populations, including supporting transitioning refugee families in Washington DC, creating and running a mother-to-mother support group, group behavior modification to elementary school students in Western NC, and individual therapy in a clinical setting. She believes in the power of connection, meeting each client with warmth, creating a safe and calm place to wade through life’s challenges together.
