Kelly Wagner is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate at Matone Counseling in Asheville. She earned her Master’s degree in social work at Pennsylvania Western University in Edinboro, Pennsylvania. Prior to her graduate degree, she obtained her Bachelor’s in psychology and sociology from Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania. Kelly has experience providing individual and group therapy to children, adolescents, and adults.

Kelly is passionate in using a person-centered approach to help clients address distress related to trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, social-emotional challenges, and self-esteem. She employs various therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive processing therapy for PTSD (CPT), and mindfulness. She has experience serving all ages of various populations, including individuals who identify as neurodiverse, LGBTQA+, as well as youth and adults involved in the justice system. Kelly is dedicated to developing trusting therapeutic relationships as clients explore new opportunities within the human experience.
