Matthew Cyr is a dedicated and compassionate therapist specializing in substance use, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, suicidal ideation, and anger management. Holding a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a minor in Substance Use Counseling, Matt brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his practice.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA), Matt has extensive experience working with both adults and teenagers. He is particularly adept at
addressing the unique challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals and those struggling with substance use disorders.
Matt employs a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Strengths-
Based Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy, always approaching from a person- centered lens. Believing firmly that “the only way out is through”, Matt empowers clients to navigate their struggles and find a path to healing and resilience.
