Adriana is licensed in the state of NC and trained in Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and many other somatic practices. Adriana is a firm believer in analyzing with a trauma-informed lens,  social, political, racial, class, gender, sexuality, and cultural contexts as a foundation to treating individual mental health. Adriana’s treatment prioritizes supporting and challenging her clients to work on their interpersonal relationship skills and connecting them to healthy communities. Adriana mostly works with teens, young adults and adults. Adriana fuses her somatic and artistic points of view with her clinical treatment and supports her clients in not only finding a way to live a life that they are proud of living, but also to support her clients in being contributing members of a more egalitarian, engaged society rooted in empathy and a respect for the human condition.

Adriana lives with her family and has an affectionate English Cream Golden Retriever and a wild tomcat. In her spare time, she is a community artist, and you can catch her teaching and performing the Afro-Brazilian Arts of Samba and Capoeira all over North Carolina.
