Alicia is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who received her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Appalachian State University, a program that helped her build a strong foundation in working with people from all walks of life. She’s had the privilege of receiving extensive training in understanding how factors like race, sexuality, gender, socioeconomic status, and religion influence mental health.
Alicia believes that the relationships we have—whether with ourselves, others, or our communities—play a huge role in our emotional well-being. That’s why she takes a relational approach to therapy, helping you explore and understand how those connections impact your mental health.
With over 10 years of experience in the mental health field, she’s worked with people facing a wide range of challenges, from anxiety and depression to trauma, relationship struggles, eating disorders, and life stressors. She especially enjoys working with couples, helping them find ways to reduce conflict and build deeper intimacy and connection. When working with individuals, she knows everyone’s story is unique, so she uses a variety of therapy techniques to create a personalized approach that best supports you.
“I’m here to listen, understand, and support you through whatever you’re going through. My goal is to help you feel more connected, understood, and empowered on your journey toward healing and growth.” – Alicia
