Autumn (she/they) is a passionate Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate
(LCMHC-A) and Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist (CAGCS) in North
Carolina. She earned her bachelor degree (BA) in Public and Cultural Communication from
the University of South Florida in 2009 and a master degree (MA) in Clinical Mental
Health Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University Asheville in 2024. With over eleven
years of experience in the field, she has extensive case management, behavioral
health, and community mental health experience, primarily serving marginalized
communities across three states.

Autumn works with adult women (18+) and LGBTQIA2S+ folx facing grief and loss,
domestic violence, life transitions, and complex trauma. She is also particularly
passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals. Her clients include those who
have endured trauma, difficult childhoods, sexual abuse, and post-traumatic stress, as
well as individuals coping with everyday anxieties, depression, relationship issues, and
gender and sexuality exploration. Her goal is to provide a compassionate, judgment-free
space for collaborative processing and meaningful growth.

In her individual therapy sessions, Autumn employs an existential philosophy, believing
that confronting the universal challenges of human existence is crucial for personal
growth. She draws on evidence-based modalities such as Internal Family Systems,
Person-Centered Theory, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Attachment Theory, while
integrating strengths-based, psychodynamic, and trauma-focused perspectives. This
approach helps clients explore their deepest questions, fears, and desires, fostering
self-awareness, resilience, and adaptive coping strategies.
Outside of work, Autumn enjoys being with her Shih Tzu pup, Quimby, attending drag
shows, watching films, playing board games, creating art, and spending time in nature.
