Cameron is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) and therapist at Matone Counseling and Testing. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Auburn University and her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Louisiana State University.

Cameron values building genuine relationships with her clients and creating an environment where they feel comfortable being themselves. She has experience working with teens and adults addressing concerns related to anxiety, life transitions, emotional regulation, and substance use. Cameron has a strong passion for working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families, and she understands the unique emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges they may face. She takes a warm, strength-based, and person-centered approach to therapy, meeting clients where they are and tailoring sessions to fit their individual needs. Cameron incorporates elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and other evidence-based practices, while also prioritizing flexibility, creativity, and connection in the therapeutic process. When appropriate, she values collaborating with caregivers to support progress beyond the therapy setting.

Outside of her clinical work, Cameron enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring creative outlets, traveling, and all things sports. She is also a Charlotte native and loves animals, especially spending time with her dog. Cameron believes in the importance of balance and finding both joy and humor in everyday moments-values she brings into her work with clients.
