Carroll Harris is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate in Hickory, NC. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from University of Dayton and her Master of Social Work from Indiana Wesleyan University. Carroll has completed training in ADHD in adults and children, DBT strategies to managing anxiety and depression, Family Centered Treatment, Restorative Circles, Play Therapy strategies, and is certified in Anger Management.

With over twenty years working with children, adolescents, and adults in different settings, Carroll brings a wealth of experience when working with clients of all ages (7 years to adults) to help them navigate the challenges in life. Carroll’s therapeutic approach is client-centered and is focused on meeting the client where they are to meet the needs they have. This approach allows flexibility to use different modalities and utilize strategies that are a better fit for the individual client. Carroll views the client as the expert of their world and works with the client to utilize strategies that make the most sense for each individual client. Carroll’s primary goal is for people to experience a safe space, where above all, they are seen and heard.

Carroll is a compassionate person who enjoys working with people who experience ADHD, Autism Spectrum, depression, and anxiety. As a parent of four young adult children, two of whom are diagnosed as being on the Autism Spectrum and ADHD, she brings a unique perspective to her work as both a parent who understands the challenges and a therapist with a clinician’s perspective. She also enjoys working and walking alongside people as they weather whatever life brings them.

When not working, Carroll enjoys hanging out with her husband and family. She is a musician who enjoys playing music with her children, watching movies with her husband, and enjoying the antics of her chocolate lab who is slightly neurotic.
