Cassie is a Licensed Clinicial Mental Health Counselor Associate in North Carolina. She
received a master’s of arts in Mental Health Counseling (Clinical Mental Health Track)
in 2022 from the University of North Carolina Charlotte. During her time at UNC
Charlotte, Cassie served as a graduate assistant for the university’s Athletic Academic
Center; providing academic advisement and counseling for collegiate student-athletes.
Prior to perusing her master’s degree, she received a bachelor’s of science in Sport
Management from Canisius University in Buffalo, NY.
Cassie believes that there is not a one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to an
individual’s therapeutic journey. Each client has their own story that they are looking to
process in the therapy room. In order to meet this need, Cassie believes it is appropriate
to utilize an eclectic, collaborative approach. She also believes that taking your time to
reach your goals is key. Though Cassie utilizes an eclectic approach, she finds herself
resorting to techniques from cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, attachment-
based, relational, & mindfulness practices.
Cassie works with individuals ranging from adolescence (14+) to adulthood, with a
passion for working with young adults, college students, and collegiate student-athletes.
She has experience treating adolescents, young adults, and adults with issues such as
depression, anxiety, trauma, relational concerns, life transitions, self-esteem, and
attachment-based concerns.
Originally a Western New York native, Cassie has called Charlotte home for the past
4 years. She is a proud Buffalo Bills fan & WNY food lover. In her time outside of the
therapy room, Cassie enjoys exercising, reading, listening to music, and spending
quality time with her friends, family, partner, and her cat; River.
