Courtney is a Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA) and Health Services Provider (HSP-PA), with additional licensure as a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist-Associate (LCAS-A). Her focus is comprehensive psychological assessment for children and families. She received her Bachelor’s degree with a double major in Psychology and Religion from Wake Forest University, and her Master of Arts degree in Clinical and Community Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. As a clinician and evaluator, Courtney brings a diverse and extensive background to her assessment work. For several years, she worked as an Intensive In-Home Team Lead supporting children, teens, and their families, which involved close collaboration with schools and community resources. She has also conducted specialized multidisciplinary and forensic evaluations for adults.
Courtney’s primary focus and special interest is in evaluating children, particularly in the area of differential autism diagnosis. She believes a correct diagnosis is not a label, but a starting point—a descriptor of where a person is, so they can find their way to where they want to be. She is committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment where her clients feel heard and understood. She values each person as an expert on their own experience, while providing assistance in navigating challenges they face and resources available to them.
Outside of her professional work, Courtney enjoys spending her free time with family, whether exploring hiking trails in the mountains or gathering around the table for a competitive board game night. Her family also includes two beloved dogs who keep life fun and active.
