Dr. Diana Gonzalez (she/her/ella) is a Post-Doctoral Psychologist at Matone Counseling and Testing. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a Sexuality Studies minor, a Master’s in Clinical Psychology, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD), all from Wright State University. She completed her predoctoral internship at UNC Charlotte CAPS and also completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at UNC Charlotte.
Diana provides both psychological assessments and therapy. She takes a collaborative and integrative approach, utilizing multicultural feminism, ACT, CBT, and mindfulness and self-compassion, and views the client as the expert of their life and story. She enjoys working with adults, particularly young adults and college students, having years of experience working in higher education and college counseling. Diana also has a passion for working with diverse populations and minoritized identities, in particular Latinx/Hispanic folks, BIPOC, adults with ADHD, and LGBTQIA+ folks. Other professional areas of interest include disordered eating/body image concerns, anxiety, adjustment issues, identity development, and social justice issues.
Diana enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, reading, listening to music, exploring Charlotte, traveling, and spending time with loved ones. While Diana doesn’t have any pets of her own, she loves furry pets.
