Ellie is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in North Carolina and a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC). She received a Masters of Arts in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University.
Ellie does not believe there is a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. She adopts a collaborative approach to treatment taking into account the unique life experiences and circumstances of each individual. She works closely with her clients to determine goals for therapy and strategies for achieving those goals. Ellie uses an eclectic approach tailored to the specific needs of each client, but she primarily draws from psychodynamic, existential, multicultural and mindfulness practices.
Ellie works with adolescents (age 12 and up), adults, families, couples and older adults. She has experience working with clients from a broad range of backgrounds facing a variety of issues but has the most experience working with adolescents and adults facing concerns with depression, anxiety, trauma, relational/ family stress, and career issues.
Outside of work, Ellie enjoys rock climbing, watching reality competition shows, and playing Dungeons & Dragons.
