Henderson Beasley is a licensed clinical mental health counselor associate with a Master’s in
Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University. Before beginning his academic
training as a counselor, Henderson worked in a variety of positions within addiction treatment,
including time as a house manager at a sober living and a behavioral health technician at a
rehabilitation center. Through these early experiences, Henderson fell in love with the role of
being a helper, and he realized that he wanted to make this career a lifelong pursuit.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) are
Henderson’s primary theoretical orientations of counseling, but he also strives match his
approach to the unique needs of every client. At his core, Henderson firmly believes in the
Rogerian principles of empathy, genuineness, and acceptance. Henderson recognizes that you
are unique, and your treatment should be specifically tailored to your needs and preferences.
Henderson loves working with clients in-person and remotely, and he currently works out of the
South Asheville office and from home. In his free time, Henderson is an avid trail runner, cyclist,
and hiker, and he can often be found exploring different trails around Asheville with his dog,
Jerry.
Henderson specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders, life transitions, and substance use
issues. Henderson enjoys working with clients of a variety of age ranges, life stages, and
backgrounds. Currently, Henderson primarily works with clients over the age of 16. Henderson
