Jada Morrisey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) and therapist at Matone Testing and Counseling. She received her bachelor’s in Social Work at North Carolina Central University in 2021 moved to Charlotte to complete a Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2021.
Jada ensures to provide a safe and nonjudgmental space for all her clients. Jada has experience working with kids, preteens, teenagers, and adults experiencing negative and positive life stressors. Jada adopts a person-centered therapy approach with clients and ensures to meet clients where they are in therapy sessions. Jada is interested in learning the client’s full background regardless of their diagnosis. She implements a nonjudgmental approach throughout therapy sessions and works with clients closely to develop goals targeted to specific needs. Jada is motivated and determined to ensure all clients feel safe, validated, heard, and seen while involved in the therapeutic relationship.
In her work, Jada utilizes multiple therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SBT), and Motivational Interviewing during the therapeutic process. Jada’s therapeutic approach is designed to help individuals recognize unhelpful negative thinking patterns to develop the necessary skills to improve depression, anxiety, self-esteem, emotional regulation, and overall executive
functioning.
In her free time, Jada enjoys playing with her dog Milo, trying new restaurants, and traveling to new places.
