Kate is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in North Carolina. She received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Counseling from Adams State University in 2022. While at Adams, Kate worked with service members and their families, a population dear to her heart as a military spouse.
As a therapist, Kate is dedicated to creating an environment where clients can achieve personal growth, build resilience, and explore their core values. She has a strong passion for Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) due to its transformative power to help individuals lead more meaningful lives. Kate is particularly drawn to ACT’s holistic approach, which acknowledges suffering as a natural part of the human experience, often deeply uncomfortable, but also an opportunity for growth. She believes in finding balance through self-exploration and mindfulness.
Kate works with individuals from adolescence through adulthood, providing a safe and judgment-free space to explore and process trauma, complex life events, anxiety, depression, and more. Creating a supportive environment is central to Kate’s counseling approach.
Kate loves traveling the world and getting lost in a good book. She previously worked as a music teacher in California, where she also taught private violin and piano lessons. Kate lives in California with her husband and two children.
