Katherine earned her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina. After gaining experience in the healthcare and fitness industries, she returned to her alma mater to pursue a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. In her free time, Katherine enjoys lifting weights, trying new coffee shops, practicing yoga, or fostering animals.
As a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern, Katherine is committed to creating a warm, nonjudgmental environment. She works under the supervision of a licensed clinician to continue developing her counseling skills and provide ethical, evidence-informed care. Drawing from a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness and somatic awareness, Katherine tailors treatment to each client’s unique needs.
Katherine is especially passionate about supporting adolescents, young adults and adults navigating grief, anxiety or stress as well as those seeking personal growth and deeper self-understanding. She strives to build authentic therapeutic relationships that foster self-awareness, resilience, and confidence as clients move toward healing and meaningful change.
