Melissa Robinson is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate (LMFTA) in the State of North Carolina. She works with individuals, couples, and families, and believes healing is always relational—whether it’s your relationship with yourself, your partner, or your child. In session with her, clients can expect to explore what’s happening for them, understand patterns that may be keeping them stuck, and develop the support and insights needed to move forward. With couples, she helps partners move through conflict, distance, and disconnection to find their way back to one another. With individuals, she focuses on fostering self-understanding, self-compassion, and clarity. With families, she walks alongside you as you navigate the challenges of raising children while navigating changes to your family system.

She believes one of her strongest therapeutic tools is her own lived experience, having navigated depression, anxiety, OCD, eating disorders, and substance abuse at a young age. Melissa understands what it feels like to be stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure if healing is possible. Through her own journey, she has experienced firsthand the power of a compassionate, nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship and is dedicated to providing her clients with the same safe and supportive space.

Melissa is a trauma-informed clinician who primarily uses a collaborative, person-centered approach, while also integrating elements of Emotionally Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

When Melissa isn’t seeing clients, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young kids, doing DIY projects around the house that take a million times longer than anticipated, taking long walks outside, and talking nonstop with her friends.
