Melissa Robinson (she/her) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate (LMFTA) in the state of North Carolina. She primarily works with couples, while also supporting individuals and families, and believes healing is always relational—whether it’s your relationship with yourself, your partner, or your child. In session, Melissa helps clients understand patterns that keep them stuck and supports them in creating change both within themselves and in their relationships.

Melissa believes one of her strongest therapeutic tools is her own lived experience, having navigated depression, anxiety, OCD, eating disorders, and substance use at a young age. She understands how overwhelming it can feel to be stuck in painful patterns—both within yourself and in your relationships—and how easy it is to lose hope that things can change. Through her own journey, she experienced the power of a compassionate, nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship and brings that same intention into her work by creating a space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported.

Melissa is a trauma-informed clinician who primarily uses a collaborative, person-centered approach and integrates elements of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

When Melissa isn’t seeing clients, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young kids, taking on DIY projects that always take longer than expected, going on long walks outside, and talking nonstop with her friends.
