Dr. Nina Cook is a Post-Doctoral Psychologist at Matone Counseling & Testing. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Wingate University not far from Charlotte in a little town called Wingate, North Carolina. Nina earned her first Master’s degree in Military Psychology at Adler University in Chicago Illinois. Nina earned her second Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Adler University in Chicago, Illinois. Nina earned her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology with emphasis in Military Psychology and Substance Abuse from Adler University, Chicago Illinois. She also completed a predoctoral internship at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina.

Nina provides both psychological assessment and therapy. She utilizes a integrative approach towards testing and therapy. Nina likes to utilize a client centered therapeutic approach and tailors her sessions to what will be effective to each client. When doing this she likes to incorporate Adlerian Theory along with blending in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Humanistic Existentialism.

When Nina is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends. Nina is not someone you would find doing outdoor activities in the spring or summer, but likely to find her outside in the winter. Nina loves going to visit Ice Caves, Ice Castles, Ice Skating, and Snow Tubing.
