Rachael (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) in North Carolina. She earned her Master’s of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
She does not believe therapy is a “one size fits all” approach. She uses a collaborative approach to treatment, taking each individual and their experiences into account. Rachael utilizes an eclectic approach to therapy to tailor to the specific needs of her clients, drawing from person-centered therapy, CBT, DBT, SFT, multicultural, and mindfulness approaches.
Rachael works with individuals ranging from adolescence (12+) to adults (19-50). Rachael also enjoys working with law enforcement officers, first responders, LGBTQ individuals, and college students. She has experience working with college students in a college counseling center, adults with substance use disorders in an outpatient setting, and many others with a wide range of backgrounds facing issues such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, substance use, self-esteem, identity, trauma, life transitions, familial issues, poor peer relationships, neurodiversity, and everyday stressors.
Rachael is a big fan of watching football and hockey! She is a huge fan of the New England Patriots and the Boston Bruins! Outside of her time in the therapy room, Rachael enjoys traveling, shopping, spending time with her partner, baking, and watching her favorite comfort shows and movies! Rachael brings her full, authentic self into the therapy space and believes that providing a warm and safe environment is crucial for her clients.
