Becky is a Licensed Psychological Associate and School Psychologist. She has a Masters of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Appalachian State University and a Specialist degree in School Psychology from Winthrop University. Becky has been a school psychologist within school districts for 16 years and has been doing contract work and private psycho-educational evaluations over the past two years. She worked as a mental health counselor for two years as well and looks forward to adding more counseling services through Matone.
Becky has extensive experience working with children and families through early childhood assessments as well as school-age assessments. She enjoys collaborating with parents and educators to provide the best possible outcomes for children. Becky offers counseling services that blend evidence‑based approaches to support meaningful personal growth. Her work draws on Cognitive‑Behavioral Therapy to help clients identify and reshape unhelpful thought patterns, while Positive Psychology techniques guide them in building on their strengths, cultivating resilience, and enhancing overall well‑being. This combination allows clients to develop practical skills for navigating challenges and creating lasting, fulfilling change. Becky enjoys providing counseling services to a wide age range of clients, from pre-teens to adults.
Becky is married and has two boys, ages 20 and 17, as well as one dog and two cats. In her free time, she enjoys exercising, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
