Sierra is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC-A). She earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Appalachian State University and a Bachelor of Arts from UNC-Chapel Hill. Sierra enjoys working with clients ages twelve and older and is especially passionate about working with those in adolescence and early adulthood.

Sierra works with a broad range of concerns and has a particular interest in supporting individuals navigating identity development, life transitions, relational concerns, self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. She is committed to greeting clients with warmth, kindness, and empathy, creating space where they feel comfortable exploring difficult emotions and experiences while feeling supported and empowered throughout their healing journey. She takes the time to get to know each client – who they are, what they value, what their goals are – in order to best understand each person’s unique lived experiences.

Sierra’s approach is grounded in her belief in each individual’s inherent resilience and capacity for growth. Her therapeutic approach is collaborative, integrative, and relational, drawing from a wide range of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness skills, and somatic approaches. She also holds a certificate in Expressive Arts Therapy and enjoys incorporating expressive arts into counseling sessions when it aligns with a client’s interests and therapeutic goals. Her approaches are always trauma-informed and strength-based, with a focus on helping clients move toward lives that feel more authentic, connected, and fulfilling.

In her spare time, Sierra enjoys trail running, yoga, cooking, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
