Terran Sutphin is a Licensed Psychological Associate in North Carolina. She earned her M. A. in Clinical Psychology from Western Carolina University. During her graduate education, she focused her studies on working with maladaptive eating behaviors, and women’s issues more broadly. Terran completed her practicum training at Matone Counseling and Testing where she engaged in therapy with individuals. Additionally, she completed training at Western Carolina University’s McKee Clinic where she conducted psychological assessments and provided feedback to clients and their families.
Terran is passionate about assisting individuals in overcoming obstacles they face, aid them in reaching their goals, and lead gratifying lives. She is committed to providing a safe space for clients to express and explore themselves. Terran is skilled in working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, body image issues, maladaptive eating behaviors, and women’s issues. Her theoretical framework includes client-centered, cognitive behavioral, insight-oriented, and mindfulness techniques. In addition to psychotherapy, she conducts psychological evaluations that assist with diagnostic clarification and treatment planning.

In her free time, Terran enjoys exploring the mountains, hiking, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
