At Matone Counseling and Testing, we believe conversations about mental health should feel human, accessible, and grounded in compassion. That belief is what inspired Matone’s Raindrops On Roses Podcast: a space created to hold the real experiences people carry every day, including the challenges, the growth, and the moments of hope that often appear quietly in between.
Matone’s Raindrops On Roses Podcast is not about having all the answers or presenting mental health as something to “fix.” It is about honest conversations that normalize emotional struggles, celebrate resilience, and remind listeners that they are not alone.
Why Matone’s Raindrops On Roses Podcast Exists
Life rarely shows up as only roses or only rain. Most of us experience both. Stress, anxiety, grief, trauma, life transitions, and uncertainty can coexist alongside strength, connection, and healing. Matone’s Raindrops On Roses Podcast was created to reflect that reality.
The name of the podcast holds personal meaning. Kim Matone, Co-Founder of Matone Counseling and Testing, grew up loving the song My Favorite Things from The Sound of Music. During times of worry, fear, or sadness, the song offered comfort and a reminder that even in difficult moments, small, meaningful things can ground us and bring relief. That idea – finding steadiness and hope even when life feels heavy – became the heart behind Matone’s Raindrops On Roses Podcast.
The podcast grew out of a desire to reduce stigma around mental health and to make professional insight feel approachable. Too often, people feel isolated in their struggles or unsure where to turn for support. Through thoughtful dialogue, education, and shared experience, Matone’s Raindrops On Roses Podcast aims to remind listeners that mental health is part of being human, not something to be hidden or carried alone.

Why These Conversations Matter
Mental health conversations have the power to create connection and reduce isolation. When people hear their experiences reflected in others’ stories, it fosters understanding, validation, and hope. Matone’s Raindrops On Roses Podcast is rooted in the belief that awareness leads to compassion, and compassion opens the door to healing.
By sharing these conversations publicly, Matone Counseling and Testing hopes to increase accessibility to mental health education and encourage open dialogue – not just in therapy rooms, but in everyday life.
