Nicole is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate in the state of North Carolina. She earned her Master’s Degrees in Social Work from Western Carolina University where she focused on Integrated Healthcare and was recognized for Excellence in Leadership. She is passionate about working with children (4-18) and young adults who may be experiencing challenges with behavior, difficulty adjusting to new situations, anxiety, depression, grief and traumatic experiences.
Nicole loves working with parents of young children to establish healthy attachment and connection as well as developing hard skills (co-regulation, offering choice, rewards and consequences, healthy communication, offering praise) to bring the parent-child relationship into balance. She is skilled in helping clients to learn the language of the body through mindfulness and sensory awareness and additionally utilizes elements of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Restructuring.
Outside of work, Nicole enjoys spending time with her family, running, practicing yoga, rewatching classic movies from the 80’s and 90’s, being outdoors, and being near ANY body of water.
